Ingredients

The salad is prepared from the following products:

  • cabbage - 1.5 kg;
  • cranberries - 0.5 cups;
  • garlic - 1 head.

  • vinegar (9%) - 1 glass;
  • sugar - 0.5 cups;
  • vegetable oil - 0.5 cups;
  • salt - 2 tbsp. spoons.

This recipe can be prepared using more or less sugar or vinegar, and garlic can be eliminated altogether.

Peel the cabbage from the integumentary leaves and cut into squares or strips, chop the garlic.

Cook the marinade, adding the vinegar just before removing the saucepan from the stove.

Pour over the salad with hot pouring, place the weight on top, leave it warm overnight.

Due to the fact that, instead of the usual vinegar, lemon juice is used as a preservative during cooking, the salad will turn out to be delicious, elegant, and healthy. It can be harvested for the winter and stored at temperatures from 1 to 8 degrees.

Ingredients

An appetizer is prepared using:

  • cabbage - 1 kg;
  • cranberries - 100 g;
  • apples - 200 g;
  • salt - 2 tsp.

Marinade:

  • water - 700 ml;
  • lemon - 1 pc.;
  • salt - 1 tbsp. the spoon.

The specified products are enough to fill 2 liter cans.

Preparation

Chop the cabbage, add a little salt and rub with your hands so that it releases juice.

Wash the apples, divide into quarters, remove the core, cut into thin slices.

Important! Peeling the fruit is optional.

Combine fruits and vegetables in a spacious bowl, stir gently and leave for 3 hours.

Squeeze juice from lemon, strain. Mix it with salted water and bring to a boil.

In order to fill the jars correctly, proceed as follows:

  1. Fill 1/3 of the containers with hot marinade.
  2. Place in each half of the fruit and vegetable mixture.
  3. Gently compact the salad with clean fingers.

  • vinegar - 100 ml;
  • vegetable oil - 100 ml;
  • black and allspice - 5 peas each;
  • cloves - 2 pcs.;
  • bay leaf - 1 pc.
